Our Statement of Faith

The Bible is the inspired (2 Tim 3:16-17; 2 Pet 1:19-21) and infallible (Ps 19:7) Word of God (Heb 4:12) and Comprises His complete and final revelation to man (2 Pet 1:3; Jude 1:3). The Bible, as originally written, is without error in whole or in part, including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical details. There is one and only one living and true God and has existed from all eternity. (Isaiah 43: 10-12, Gen 1:1, Deut 33:27; Psalms 90:12; John 1:14; 1 Tim 1:17; Rev 1:8).The everlasting God shows Himself to us as: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Gen 1:26; Matt 28:19, Isaiah 48:16, John 15:26). Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh, being fully God and fully man (Isa 9:6; John 1:1, Col 1:15-20; Heb 1:3), except without sin (Isa 53:9; 2 Cor 5:21; 1 Pet 2:22). All men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act (Psalms 130:3; 143:2; Ecclesiastes 7:20; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:9, 19 & 23; Galatians 3:11 & 22; James 2:10; 1 John 1:8-10), and are therefore under wrath and just condemnation (Rom 5:12). The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man’s sins through His substitutionary death (Galations 4: 4-5) on the cross (Isaiah 53:4-11; John 3:15-16; Rom 5:8; 1 John 4: 9-10), the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by His visible bodily resurrection (John 11:25; 20:14-20; Luke 24:34-42; 1Corinthians 15:36; Acts 1:14 & 22; 9:19). Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith (John 5:24; Rom 1:17; 3: 22 & 28; 4:51; 5:1 & 9; Gal 2:16; 3:11-14; Phil 3:9; James 2:23-26). Not trusting in any personal works whatsoever (Rom 3:20), but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone (Rom 10:9). Marriage is the joining of one man and one woman with the promise of being faithful to one another for a lifetime. Marriage shows the union between Christ and His church. Parents are to guide their children with loving discipline and children are to obey and respect their parents. (Eph 5:22-31, Prov 22:6, Eph 6:14, Deut 11:19, 1 Tim 3:4, Prov 19:18, Col 3:20, Matthew 15:4, Prov 1:8, Prov 13:125).
